I had some doubts about this razor, but I thought I had nothing to lose, I could always go back to the one I liked most. I decided to try Braun 590cc out. It came in a nice box, together with a black travel case. A bonus, I supposed, that hasn’t been mentioned anywhere. The razor has a nice design feeling comfortable but solid in the hand, having a really nice grip. I recommend setting the sensitivity level of the razor to medium, especially when you shave your neck area. When you don’t use it, you just leave it in the cleaning station, that also recharges your razor. During the night you can see a small blue light, a useful feature that could be helpful might you ever have to find your razor in the dark.
This is a pretty good electric razor. Of course, there are more sophisticated models, but as a mid price range model this is one of the best.
When compared to Remington electric razors, this one is a blessing. Far less skin irritation, and the noise is something you can live with. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a razor that will give you a fairly close dry shave. On the other hand, if you need your electric razor to perform both wet and dry shaves as well, you might want to try Panasonic ES-LV81 or Philips Norelco 1280x.
There are some cons concerning this razor, in my opinion. For example, I feel like Braun could have done a better job with the cleaning station. I know it’s made of plastic, but it shouldn’t look like plastic, if you understand what I’m trying to emphasize. The cleaning station should be more compatible with the razor, because the Braun 590cc electric razor has a very good design, from multiple points of view.
