Sometimes you feel like growing a stubble. But in order for the stubble to compliment your look, you have to maintain it. You can’t have that controlled messy look if you don’t trim your beard regularly. I’ve tried out different beard trimmers on the way to find out which is the best. What follows is a list with my opinion of the beard trimmers that you can find on the market.
1.
Philips Norelco QS6160 StyleRazor Pro is a very efficient multi-purpose tool for anyone having facial hair. The two ends of this beard trimmer make up a complete facial hair grooming formula. On one end, the fine trimmer takes care of those of you who have a mustache, and on the other end, a larger clipper takes care of thicker beards. I like growing different facial hair styles that suit my face and I found this product very useful, making everything extremely easy, and all of this without needing extensive equipment. The shaver from the bottom of the unit will help you keep clean any areas where you don’t want hair to grow, without needing another device. All in all, one of the most useful beard trimmers.
2.
Braun Cruzer 6 Beard & Head Trimmer is a lightweight device that is very silent and has low vibrations. It charges very quickly and runs even when it’s plugged in. I was impressed by the fact that it can trim a pretty wide range of hair length. It also features a retractable narrow trimmer that is attached to it and that will help you with the details.
3.
The Philips Norelco QS6140 StyleRazor made a good first impression. It has a nice design, all the parts being very compact. A practical aspect, when compared to other beard trimmers, is the fact that it has an adjustable trimmer and only one comb, so you don’t have to worry about multiple combs lying around. The shaver at the other hand is not world class but judging by this products multi-functionality, it’s an all around very good choice.
4.
The Babyliss BPSS1 I Stubble is a high quality device with an attractive design. It’s one of the beard trimmers specialized in stubble. The length of the stubble is completely under your control. It’s not the best beard trimmer for a mustache though. Aside from that it’s a stubble trimmer that will do a nice, silent and convenient job.
5.
Panasonic Milano Series ER-GB40-S Hair & Body Trimmer sets itself apart from the other beard trimmers because you can use it wet and dry. The fact that you can trim your beard in the shower is very comfortable. You don’t need to clean up afterwards. It charges in 15 hours to full capacity and you can use it cordless for about 50 minutes. Compared to the previous model from Panasonic, the blade is not as wide, but this will ultimately offer better results in less time. It’s not very efficient though if you’re looking for a close shave.

I liked the Philips Norelco QT4014/42 Beard and Stubble Trimmer because it’s easily adjustable over 20 length settings from the dial on the handle. It delivers a nice job. With this beard trimmer you can keep your stubble shorter in the summer and longer in the winter, no extra devices needed. It says it collects the cut hairs, but there still remains some hair in the sink. It won’t break your back but it’s extra work. It’s pretty easy to clean. You just detach the head and rinse it under water. Overall, it’s one of the good beard trimmers, but I can’t say I was overly impressed.
7.

Wahl 9906 2001 Beard and Mustache Trimmer does a pretty nice job, especially for your sideburns. It’s improperly put in the beard trimmers category, because it’s more of a mustache trimmer. If you have a mustache and are looking for a device to maintain it, this is one way to go. Wahl has made a name for itself over the years, representing quality products. I can’t say this is necessarily between my favorites, but this doesn’t mean, it can’t be between yours.
8.

As long as your boss doesn’t require a perfectly smooth shave everyday, the Philips Norelco QT4022 Stubble Trimmer Pro will do a fine job. As a matter of fact, this is a beard trimmer, so don’t buy it if you’re looking for a smooth shave. The razor blades are self sharpening on this item. This means goodbye to razor bumps. It’s an all around good device, but it’s not the best option when looking for beard trimmers.
9.

The strength of the Remington MB 200 Titanium Mustache and Beard Trimmer lies in its 9 length settings and the attached adjustable head. Although never needing lubrication it works easily and doesn’t pull your hairs. It’s a well built and compact device that will last for a pretty long time.
10.

The Braun Cruzer 5 Beard Trimmer has a rubberized interior and is sealed adequately. The trim is pretty good although it doesn’t stand out compared to other beard trimmers. Overall it works great, I can’t complain, but it didn’t wow me. It doesn’t have a feature to differentiates it from the bulk of beard trimmers. I would rather choose another device if I had to choose a product from Braun.
